Marginal Performance

(1) When used with Andrea or VXI USB Adapters
(2) When the Plantronics CS50-USB was used on our testing Intel Mac (with either Dragon running through Parallels or directly with iListen) barely acceptable results were obtained during sound set-up, and a notable background hum was detected and recognition accuracy not great. Pending testing on another Intel Mac, we recommend against this microphone. The CS55/SeleCT Switch did not lead to a similar hum when used directly with the line-in jack or with the use of a USB sound adapter, and provided good results.
(3) Adequate performance of the Andrea ANC 700 and 750 results when used with the Buddy 5G and Buddy 6G USB Adapter. The signal strength is reduced with the Andrea USB sound adapter and with this adapter requires use of an Andrea APS-100 Auxiliary Power Supply.
(4) Using bluetooth dongle
(5) Sennheiser BW900 headset will not directly pair with PC using current bluetooth drivers. This unit must be used with a wired connection between the base station and the PC or Mac. This connection can be the Sennheiser modular to PC adapter, ZoomSwitch or GN Netcom SeleCT Switch. When using the Sennheiser modular to PC adapter or GN Netcom SeleCT switch we recommend using the Buddy 6G USB adapter, but this is optional.

Testing Machines:

Windows XP & Dragon: Dell XPS laptop with 3.4 GHz P4, 1 GB RAM, SigmaTel integrated audio; Dragon NaturallySpeaking Medical Solutions.

Windows Vista & Dragon & Windows Vista and Vista Speech: Toshiba A205 laptop with 1.7 GHz Core 2 Duo processor and 2 GB RAM, Dragon Naturally Speaking 9.5 Medical Solutions

Dragon on Intel Mac: Apple MacBook Pro with 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, 4 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM, running Parallels Desktop 3.0 for Mac, Windows XP Pro, and Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9.5 Medical Solutions. Boot Camp testing was done on this machine, both with the Tiger and Leopard operating systems (appeared to be no differences between Tiger and Leopard)
