Comments: Although there are larger and more expensive back-up batteries out there, we liked the balance of reasonable size and cost of this item. It can be attached to your mobile device using a USB cable (cable not included - expected you will use the USB to Dock cable include with your device) and either charge or run the device from this battery. The batter itself is charged by attaching it to any suitable USB based charger or computer USB port. It comes with the needed cable, but not with an AC adapter.

Apple Dock Connector

This is an original Apple product and may be useful to you if you damaged your original dock connector or want to set up an additional charging station at a secondary location. It has a standard USB connector on one end and a 30 pin connector on the other end for direct connection to your apple device.

Comments: This accessory should only be necessary for you if your original docking cord is lost or damaged, of if you are setting up a charging/docking set-up at a second location. We find it extremely useful to have more than one of these available.

Comments: Don't try to run a serious appliance off of this device! It is rated for 90 watts, which is within the range of most small electronic devices including your laptop charger. But check out your device wattage before ordering or using this product. Beyond this limitation, it is simple, mounts firmly to any automobile 12V socket, and works perfectly. I keep one of these in my car glove compartment for that "rare moment" when something needs charging (usually something the kids are operating but occasionally my PC!)
