Comments: We have watched this product evolve over the last few years as MacSpeech abandoned their previous speech engine and licensed the engine at the core of Nuance's Dragon NaturallySpeaking. Although we intially felt the product worked well, we were disappointed with some lack of functionality compared with Dragon. This has changed! This is now a robust, highly accurate and highly functional product which is the perfect addition to any Intel based apple.

Please note that this product is boxed with an inexpensive, very serviceable microphone which will interface with your Mac via USB. Although we recommend you start with this microphone as you explore this exciting techonology. When you are ready to improve your accuracy evening more, we suggest you consider upgrading your microphone. MacSpeech Dictate will work with most USB microphone sold on this site. If you purchase a microphone without a USB interface, be sure to use it with an external USB adapter such as the Andrea Pure Audio, Buddy 6G or VXI 2-way adapter.
