Sennheiser ME3 and ME3 Combo
 The Sennheiser ME 3 is widely considered the best microphone for speech recognition applications. It features superb accuracy and unrivaled noise canceling abilities. This is our favorite wired microphone, best-selling product, and the least returned item on our website.
Be aware that the ME3 we sell is not the same microphone sold through Amazon.com and other large retailers. Our version of the ME3 is specially manufactured by Sennheiser with a standard audio plug for use with a PC or sound adapter. The ME3 sold at large retailers and music supply stores has a non-standard plug which does not fully engage with audio devices. If you have purchased such an ME3, you can still use it by converting the plug using our exclusive ME3 adapter (see below).
Please note that all versions of the Sennheiser ME3 (sold here or elsewhere) are wired differently than usual headset microphones and are not electrically compatible with many computer sound cards. This microphone is completely functional, however, when used in conjunction with an Andrea USB sound adapter or the Buddy 6G USB adapter. We recommend purchasing our "ME3 combo" (pictured above) for predictably great results.

Warranty: The Sennheiser ME3 microphone is covered by a full 2-year manufacturer's warranty.
Comments: In our opinion, this is the best wired microphone for use with speech recognition applications. It provides truly superior accuracy and external noise cancellation when compared with other wired and wireless microphones. It is extremely durable. It attaches securely to the head, so the boom and microphone element have no tendency to move as you rotate your head and move about. Because it has no speakers, it leaves both of your ears uncovered for use of a telephone or maintaining an awareness of external events. Its only downside is that it works with only a rare PC sound card and, practically speaking, should be used with an external USB sound adapter, such as the Andrea sound adapter, Buddy 6G, or Andrea Pure Audio. Because this microphone does not include speakers, it is simpler to use it with a monaural USB adapter. If you use a duplex adapter such as the Buddy 6G or Andrea Pure Audio, you will get excellent speech results, but every time you plug in the adapter your system will choose it for the default sound device for sound going in and out of your computer. For this reason it may "steal" the sound that would otherwise be playing through your computer speakers. This is why we package our "combo" with the monaural Andrea USB adapter.

ME3 Plug Adapter - A Speech Recognition Solutions Exclusive!
If you purchased a Sennheiser ME 3 microphone elsewhere, it likely has the "original" plug with a locking ring and you may be having problems making an adequate connection with your PC or sound adapter. This adapter is designed to solve this problem by converting the non-standard Sennheiser plug adapter into a standard 3.5 mm audio plug.
These are manufactured specifically for Speech Recognition Solutions and are guaranteed for 3 months but should last at least as long as the microphone.
Shipping: If you are purchasing only an adapter and don't need it immediately, we suggest you choose shipping through the US Postal Service. This will result in shipping costs generally under a dollar, versus UPS Ground (which will not be any quicker) which will run more $5.00 to most locations.
Note: this adapter is not needed if you purchase your Sennheiser ME3 from us since our ME3 is manufactured with a standard 3.5 mm audio plug.
Comments: we have learned that some newer version of the native Sennheiser ME have a different "locking collar" without threads. If you are contemplating purchasing this for use with your ME3, please take a close look at your ME3 to confirm that the plug has threads at the locking collar.

 It's been a long time since we've been as impressed with a product. Until now we have considered the Sennheiser BW900 the best wireless microphone for use with Dragon. While we loved the convenience of the Sennheiser DW Office, which allowed seamless movement from the phone to PC, we never felt the speech recognition accuracy nor external noise rejection was quite at the level of the BW 900. Now things have changed.
For any user wishing to go wireless, either for VoIP or speech recognition, and especially for the user wishing to use the same set-up for wired telephone use, this is the perfect product. This DW Pro has all the features of the DW Office and betters the quality of the BW900. It is, in our opinion, an amazing product.

Comments: Honest to God, we are having a hard time containing our enthusiasm for this product. On the first night I tested it, with a brand new profile set-up on the new medical version of Dragon I witnessed absolutely flawless performance. I then asked my 9-year-old, who is used to hearing dad say "can you keep it down a bit", to come over and be as loud and as obnoxious as he wanted. Not surprising, he didn't hesitate. Amazingly, Dragon didn't hear a bit of it and continued to work flawlessly. The downside of this product? First, it doesn't use Bluetooth frequencies, so you cannot directly pair the headset to your computer. Second, it's expensive. But you are clearly getting what you pay for with this product. By the way, the only difference (beyond price) in the Pro-1 and Pro-2 is the number of speakers. Performance is otherwise identical.

Comments: this unique and highly comfortable Bluetooth headset microphone weighs only 15 grams and packs a punch in terms of functionality. Pushing a single button on the headset allows you to toggle between your cellular phone and the base station. And a single button on the base station allows you to toggle between your wired phone and pc. Like the BW900, it can be coupled with the Sennheiser HLS10 Lifter, to automatically pick up your headset when answering a call. Unlike the BW900, it knows to initiate the phone lift only when connected to the phone (the BW900 activates the lifter whenever there is an active connection between the headset and base station and doesn't know whether you're connected to the phone or PC.) We continue to test this microphone with speech recognition application and our preliminary testing seems to suggest it is on par with the VMX office - solid performance with speech recognition, although perhaps a slight bit less noise canceling than the Bw900. When coupled with a wired phone or cell phone, this set-up works beautifully!
One note: the user guide seems to suggest that you can use this microphone with your pc using the included USB cable. This does not appear to be the case. The USB cable is used only for direct charging of the VMX office headset. It connects to a PC via two mechanisms: 1) using the included modular to pc cable and 2) with a direct bluetooth connection to a Bluetooth equipped PC.

Sennheiser BW 900 Wireless Bluetooth Microphone for Telephone & PC
Speech Recognition Solutions has decided to discontinue the BW900 and for a variety of reasons. First, we understand this is soon to be discontinued by Sennheiser and we have concerns about our ability to provide needed support and repairs. Second, we believe this product has been clearly surpassed in quality and functionality by the Sennheiser DW Pro series (see product above). Finally, it has become increasingly apparent that customers attempting to pair this headset directly with a personal computer (bypassing the base station and the only functionality not offered by the DW Pro series), do so with great frustration due to inherent inconsistency and unreliability in Bluetooth connections.
If you were thinking of purchasing this product, we strongly suggest that you look over the Sennheiser DW Pro- and DW Pro-2 microphones. These have every bit the quality of the BW900 and many advantages, including a more comfortable mounting method, a dramatically longer battery life, and a greater operation range. Further the DW Pro series can toggle back and forth between a computer and wired phone without any additional accessories - something which cannot be said for the BW900. This product was revolutionary when first released, but has truly been surpassed by other products.

Comments: This is an extremely comfortable mounting method for the BW900 for those preferring not to have it hanging on an ear. It is adjustable for both left and right mounting. It has a very soft leather (or leatherette?) padded earpiece. It allows full adjustment of the BW900 boom in relationship to your mouth.

Comment: This is a simple cable that effectively connects a BW900 or Plantronics CS55 directly to your pc or a USB adapter. If you plan to use a USB adapter, you should consider purchasing the ZoomSwitch, which allows a direct USB connection and does away with the need for this cable. If you plan to go back and forth between phone and pc with your microphone, you should purchase either the GN Netcom SeleCT switch or the ZoomSwitch.

Comments: Although we are not impressed with the noise canceling abilities of this set-up (average but not outstanding), the overall functionality of this unit has led to this becoming our favorite all purpose microphone on the desk for use with the phone and PC. It is extremely comfortable, allows simple switching back and forth between telephone and PC, and has a long battery life. We do not consider this a great solution for the mobile user, but perfect for your office desk. If you are looking for a product which has outstanding performance with speech recognition, we suggest that you consider the Sennheiser DW Pro-1 or DW Pro-2.
