Using Dragon Medical 10, physicians dictate in real-time into their EMR in their own words – letting them instantly review, sign, and make their notes available for other clinicians.

Comments: there is no question that this is an expensive piece of software, but if you consider the savings in transcription costs, the saved time if you are currently hand typing, or the improved documentation if you a currently using paper, the benefits are huge. Be aware that this software is not an electronic medical record (EMR) program, but simply a documentation method that will work with any word processing program or an existing EMR. Although the software box includes an inexpensive microphone, we strongly recommend that you purchase a higher quality microphone for improved accuracy and external noise rejection. Our recommended wired headset microphone is the Sennheiser ME3 and our recommended hand-held microphone the Dictaphone PowerMic II.
