eMicrophones.com and SpeechRecSolutions.com Join Forces
After many years of friendly competition and regular cooperation, two of the best sources for speech recognition products decided to join forces in late December of 2012. It is with great excitement the merging of Speech Recognition Solutions and eMicrophones.com is announced.
eMicrophones.com, founded in 1997 by Marty Markoe, has been the leader in microphones for speech recognition technology and is known for its quality products, excellent advice, and superb customer support. After years of his exhausting efforts to assure excellence in his business, Marty decided to transition from his very successful business to enjoying “semi-retirement” and further development of Windows Speech Recognition (WSR), including the very popular WSR Toolkit on his dedicated site – MyMSSpeech.
Speech Recognition Solutions, founded in 2006 by Jon Wahrenberger, MD and run as a family business, has been steadily growing and prides itself in providing not only the range of products (both software and hardware) needed by speech recognition users of all levels, but also the information needed to properly select and successfully implement speech recognition products. In the fall of 2012 Tony Fiset (Jon Wahrenberger’s son-in-law) joined the business and brought new levels of customer support and business focus to the operation. While the purchase and integration of eMicrophones.com is the most visible evidence of Tony’s influence, the friendly and knowledgeable voice on the other end of the phone may be the most noticeable change to our customers.
Where the two business will go long-term has yet to be determined. Mindful of the wonderful reputation and customer base established by Marty, Speech Recognition Solutions intends to maintain and grow eMicrophones.com, while perhaps steering Speech Recognition Solutions a bit more in the direction of software support and our medical market. For now, customers will find relatively similar products and identical prices at both locations. The same staff and same focus on treating customers with fairness and respect can be expected at both sites.
